Talbot Davis was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Princeton University and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. In 30+ years of full-time ministry in the Western North Carolina Annual Conference, he has served two appointments: Mt. Carmel-Midway (1990-1999) and Good Shepherd (1999-present).

Talbot’s preaching and teaching ministry caught the eye of Abingdon Press which has turned five of his sermon series into books including:  "Head Scratchers" and "The Storm Before the Calm". Abingdon also published a book on preaching called "Simplify the Message: Multiply the Impact," in February 2020.

Starting in 2022, Talbot became an author with Invite Press out of Texas, which has turned his Come Alive Daily emails into a series of Bible study books. Invite has released six volumes of Come Alive Daily since 2022. You can find out more about this series on Invite Resources' webpage.

Talbot and his wife Julie have two adult children and reside in Charlotte, NC.
